Things are pretty much filled, but I'd imagine they could fit several hundred more in (although they do have some in fallen limbs) so I'd give them an estimated maximum capacity of 900. Also, there's a nice new hole in the granary facing downhill a bit above the old hole (which still looks fine). 18 January *Group Update* [illegible] last seen 27 Feb 1985 (Philip), gone by spring j1109. There are acorns remaining here, however. 26 April 1700. Opened the nest, which is high in the sycamore over by the spring: 7 eggs! Incubated. Are there 2 9? here? 5 May 1215. 4 babies in the nest. We took 2 (1 runt, 1 normal) and are transplanting the big one to Plague. 6 May 1430. Returned the 1 baby; we kept the runt in the lab for now. 20 May Banded the 3 babies as #1263-1265. 7 June *Group Update* 5979. Last seen 3 Oct '85 (Katy); gone by 27 Feb. 9980.
