1986 Walter Koenig Melanerpes formicivorus Dark Hollow HNHR 19 January *Group Update* $696. last recorded sighting was in April; I presume she was here through the breeding season (young banded on 29 May). Was gone by 16 Oct → DA 8 Aug ± 2 months. $961. Last recorded sighting on 8 April (me); gone Philip saw → by 16 Oct. I need to check Philip's note to no info. → see if she was here through the breeding season. → DA. [illegible] 2 July ± 3 months. (Philip saw bird 29 June, gone by 5 Apr.) 5 April *Group Update* $1061. Last seen 22 Oct., gone by 16 Jan., DA 4 Dec. ± 1 mon j1066. " " " " " " " " 19 April 1630. New hole that Mark climbed: 1 egg, fresh. 23 April Mark climbed: a large gopher snake inside nest - #Gopher snake predation on eggs! Note that this hole is far up (40' at least) in a large V alley Oak. If a snake can get it, one could get virtually any nest anywhere. 8 June *Group Update* $695 $696. Moved to OKCorral, inexplicably. See OKCorral notes. j1065. Last seen 16 Jan, gone by 24 Feb → DA 5 Feb $1035. Moved here, switching (inexplicably) with $695 and 696. See OKCorral notes. This switch is very odd, to say the least.
