469 Sunday, Feb 25/1901 This morning Jen and I drove over to Lagunitas school-house. The day was made bitterly cold by a north wind. Between Alviso & Milpitas in a sheltered glen small birds were very numerous--especially those given to the willows. I shot a light-colored song-sparrow there. Near Milpitas I collected a ♂ Otseoris a. lurysolenta in bright plumage-- A pair of Redbails gave a rush in a pine in Lagunitas.
