Sunday, Feb 25/1901
This morning Jen and I drove over to Lagunitas school-house. The day was made bitterly cold by a north wind.
Between Alviso & Milpitas in a sheltered glen small birds were very numerous--especially those given to the willows.
I shot a light-colored song-sparrow there.
Near Milpitas I collected a ♂ Otseoris a. lurysolenta in bright plumage--
A pair of Redbails gave a rush in a pine in Lagunitas.
