Jen, M Reyes & I drove
to Alum Rock to try
for eagles. We found
none- Observed
Bavenna Sparrows on
the wires along the
road. On the creek
road almost at the
mouth of the canyon
I saw a pair of
Aimophila ruficeps-
in the sage brush. On
dismounting both
became very secretive
but finally I saw one
sitting motionless in
the center of a dense
sage bush- I shot
