Dear Mother
18/49 Went to Dargents today. Visited
Dairy Nest at once. One eagle flew up and the other left the nest
when I hammered on tree. I climbed it and found one fine large egg
which I left in a letter tip. Saw a hawk's nest building near by.
Sunday. Feb. 19/49
Had breakfast at 7 and store open. Rain began falling at once and continued all day. I went to grove near RR track where a pair of hawks
