Mon 24/98. Went to
Kites at Almaden Marsh
this p.m. I had seen
them about a certain
tree several times so thought
they would nest in it.
Today no birds were in sight
when I arrived so
went to this tree and
looked for the nest, which
I finally decided upon
as a small dark spot
in the top of the tree. There
was a strong wind and
a hard gale, which
I overcame with the use
of some large nails. The
bird fluttered from the
nest when I was 10 feet
