C. pubescens Matthews 1606 - Almirante, 1835. Stems and leaves brown! (fuscous), densely ad softly pubescent with large trichomes (the tricho are brown and tuft-like in appearance, they are dendritic but with several main shafts from the base. Branches bearing the inflorescence coming off the main stems at right angles. Radius of the inflorescence sign[illegible] pubescence extending to the pedicels, fruits glabrous. C. rhomboidens Matthews 1061 - Cuesta de Parrachico leaves sub-opposite, the first pair ½ to 1¼ in. above the cavity shell, herbs. Pedicels 1.5 cm. long in the type; plants glabrous throughout. Leaves very thin. Siligues developing wings and these crenate ♀.
