(3 May) experiment. See KeepCat notes for details. After the control watch (645-1000), I added 2 babies here, one from KeepOut and 1 from UAZ.
4 May Missy watched here today 645-1000. I failed to mention that the 2 big feeders here are 9834 and 8940, who is almost surely a breeder. A prominent 3rd bird who was here but didn't feed was 8835 (!) At least 2 others were in the area, but didn't come to where I could see them.
5 May I watched today, control day #3. Afterwards, I removed 2 of the 3 babies. additional All 3 adults fed today, but 2 birds were still here also, but not near the nest.
6 May Missy watched (exp. day #4). Weather was cold and fogged in. Afterwards, the babies were returned home.
7 May Control day #5. Missy watched; Philip weighed babies with the Pesola.
8 May 955. Injected the babies with DLW
18 May 1030. Banded the babies as #1022-1024.
24 May 845. Watching territory from blind. 900. Baby is looking out of the hole. ①♀ 4th Da/M #834 at hole. ②♂ M/or-Yell#835 in tree
945. There definitely appears to be a "separate" pair in the trees over to the south, as suggested during the watches earlier this month.
21 August: No stoves seen (Stanback)
1000. ① is ub for sure. ② also appears ub. Probably only a pair here. Found the nest! Let's call this group "Tom Arnold".
