There were 2 birds up in the granary also. 3 March Stanback watched out here this morning and reports lots of half bands and that there may only be 1 group here, as I had suspected from the lack of stores at Gate. 23 April 1540. A slight TODO here - and the 2 birds in charge - 18 and 19 - are both ub!! Looks like a complete group turnaround here! 24 April A Power Struggle going on here this morning. 1115. Watching. Lots of ub ff here - 5+. No banded birds sighted yet. 1125. Looks like the (ub)♂ may be chummy with 2 ff, but it's not obvious that they belong together. In any case, there are 5-6 ff here, all ub as far as I can tell. 13 May Saw a bird in one of The unsavory holes in the main tree twice today. Unfortunately, it's probably it. 15 May 800. Went up to the hole (no bird in it this time). It's not all that nice and, as far as I could tell with the peeper, it's empty. With luck they'll still go for another one. 20 May 1000. ♂ in that hole again. 1 June 1615. Went up to the hole. It's odd - it goes down ~2' but is actually easily accessible through the storage holes! They have 3 eggs, 2 of which looked opaque. 8 June xx Group Update xx 6626, 9855 both disappeared between 7 and 23 April - → 15 April ± 1 week. Two new ub birds joined.
