Melanerpes formicivorus
1800
(17 April)
1200. With That I Think I'll leave. It's clear The 2 eggs are here
for good unless [illegible] 8787 comes by, so if they disappear I'm
confident of knowing what happened.
Note that both 8770 and 8771 are here and showing interest
in the hole.
18 April
550. Bird in hole: checking. Nest empty!!
608. Watching.
645. ♀ in hole. Too wet to see bands for sure. [but no transmitter]
656. 2nd ♀ in hole. 8771 here looking in, 8770 here briefly.
658. 1♀ leaves. 8771 still here.
704. ♀193 comes → hence, 8785 is in hole. 8193 enters again,
but 1♀ leaves after a few minutes. Since 8771 stays,
I assume 8785 is still inside.

she was inside.
915. Missy taking over. Going to keep watching for awhile today.
1220. Back to relieve Missy. 1st checked nest and measured the eggs.

out followed by the ♂. No tossing.
