1330. Counted stores: Main tree: 2000. Acorns everywhere they
can go here!
20 tree 120. The dead limb used for the 1st
time in many years, as far
as I know.
Total 2120
3 April
710. Watching after an ambush at the '84 nest hole
this morning netting 8770, 8774, and 8787. I still
have all 3 in captivity - the ♀ for a transmitter later
on and the 2 ♂♂ for my removal experiment. 8774
is currently in the aviary, while I have 8770 here
with me until I confirm the presence of the 3rd
breeding ♂ (8771).
725. So far all quiet. Oops - a bird was here briefly, then
flew off up Haystack Hill.
815. 3 birds showed up: 1♂ and ♀ CB-WRLB#785 and ♀ LP/IN#793
Still pretty quiet.
845. The 3 birds (plus an intruder?) Here he is: ♂ M/YAM-UN#776
So he's here for sure.
The plan is: 8774. Hold until eggs are laid - maybe until
young hatch.
8770. Hold for 2 days. Release 5 April.
8787. Tag and release this afternoon.
850. Leaving. All looks good!
1330. Put a radio on 8787: "702", but really
Channel 3, band 4, frequency 2.

5 April Let 8770 go at 720. This evening Missy reports someone being
been beaten up a lot starting at ~730, so I better check
up what's going on tomorrow!
