RT cont the egg had a huge hole (ca 3/4 inch) in it when examined. one of the turnstones tr was banded and was collected when it moved into the grass. At least 7 turnstones at 1900 working a small rocky colony. as one tern left her egg, a Puddy moved in and peck [illegible] three times at the exposed egg, darting away as the tern came back. Hence the turnstones are probably destroying great numbers of eggs.
