Only succeeded in wounding 18
which got away. It belonged to a flock
of Sparrows which drift in from the
north side of the campus.

Birds [Eng. Sp.] are very wary. Killed 297

at Bacon Hall.
Note: The English Sparrows & Linuels appear

Found a broken sparrow's egg on
the ground on West side of South"
