Jan. 29 hunted on campus 1 hour, (7 to 8 A.M.) found two flocks, and two singles. Killed 4 sparrows. 2[illegible] and 2[illegible]. Largest flock is always found in vicinity of the infirmary. No sparrows found around the Greek Theater. No signs of courting or nesting. Census: Eng. Sparrows 13 others 55 - Feb. 1, hunted on campus 1 1/4 hours (6:45 to 8 A.M.) around Harrison Gym., Col. Hall, Botanical Gardens & Infirmary. Also looked around Greek theater but saw none. Got 3 shots and killed 2[illegible]. Birds very wary and hard to approach. No sign of nesting. Census: Eng. Sparrows 16 others 64.
