Hunted on campus - 7:15 to
8 A.M. - Shot 3 sparrows all & &.
at east end of Botanical Gardens,
Saw only one bunch of any size
and a few singles.
Kept a rough census of birds
seen - Sparrows 18, Others 53.
May have counted some sparrows
twice!
Shot into bush containing 4 or 5
Eng. Sparrows & about 8 Nuttals. At some
of shot all Eng. Sparrows left the
neighborhood. - Nuttals never left bush
or showed signs of alarm. No sign
of nesting.

Hunted on campus, 7 to 7:45
A.M. No luck. Wondered two
birds but failed to get them.
Are too wary to get with .22 cal.
Bird census - 76 others
21 sparrows (Eng.)
Only two flocks on campus
that I am sure of finding.
