Hunted for ½ hour between 7 & 8 this morning.
Killed 5 English sparrows around South Hall, but got only one. Also killed accidentally a Nuttall Sparrow in pasture.
The English Sparrows are exceedingly wary and scarce.
April 6, 1914
Norther hunted from 6 to 8 a.m.;
shot in 9 English Sparrows, 8 of which are adult males, and one ♀ limit (not yet nesting). He shot and lost in palms or branches three other sparrows,
and shot 15 aux. shells in all.
Sparrow around South, Build & Bacon Halls.

Norther hunted from 6 to 8 a.m.
Shot in 9 English Sparrows, 6 ♂♂ and 3 ♀♀; one other was shot & lost in palm.
14 aux shells were fired. All around campus buildings.
The ♀♀ show signs of nesting.
