Pine Peaks, Vol. Conchagua, Dept., La Union Feb., 26, 1926 - March - 7, 1926 spiny pocket mouse Only four spiny pocket mice were taken by me at this locality. No. 11214 a large adult female was caught along the upper edge of the north mountain slope, by a hole in the bank of a small dry ravine. The hole was about two inches in diameter. 11216 was caught close by in a similar set. Nos. 11215 and 11244 were caught in a pile of dead ferns which had been piled up in clearing a path along the upper edge of the coffee, on one side of the path was temperate zone and on the other was sub-tropical zone. In the stomach contents of No. 11214 were, seeds, old snail shell, and oatmeal flakes.
