Pine Peaks, Vol., Conchagua, Dept., La Union
Feb. 26, 1926 - March 7, 1926
Blue tailed Rat.
As at other localities I found the Blue-tailed Rat commonly there, Nos. 11204 and 11205 were caught in a dry rocky stream bed on the south mountain slope. Here I found them in association with Pine Peaks Peromyscus, in a strip of green sub-tropical zone on the north mountain slope near the top and not far from the conical zone I caught Nos. 11217 and 11231 on a fallen tree which was held up by the brush and extended across a brush cleared path which marked the upper coffee limit. Near this spot flat or horizontal branches of other low trees I caught Nos. 11245 and 11258. No. 11218 was caught under rocks in a dry stream bed on the north mountain slope. Stomach contents consisted of seed pulp, green leaf pulp, fruit pulp, and plant pulp.
