Pine Peaks, Vol., Conchagua, Dept, La Union
Feb, 26, 1984 - March - 7, 1986.
Peromyscus
Hairy-tailed Peromyscus -
This rare mouse was
found in the grassy Sonoran
zone in association with Sonoran
Sigmodons. Because of millions
of hungry ants I was able to
take few skins. Nos. 11199, 11243,
11252 and 11254 were taken on the
south mountain slope pasture land,
where there were hundreds of
large lava rocks in low
dense brush. These specimens
cought under lava rocks. No. 11260
was trapped on the top of one of
the grassy knolls under a lava
rock boulder, and No. 11204 was
taken in a similar place but
under a stone wall.
