Pine Peaks, Vol., Conchagua, Dept., La Union Feb., 26, 1926 - March - 7, 1926 Peromyscus Pine Peaks Peromyscus - The Pine Peaks Peromyscus was by far the most common species found at this locality. Nos. 11196 and 11197 were caught under some large lava rock boulders in the pine grove where the dead and dry pine needles covered the ground in a heavy carpet. Many specimens were taken in a dry stream bed on the south mountain slope where strip of sub-tropical zone opened up with its green vegetation. The ands were so thick here that many of my specimens were missed. No. 11609 was caught at the edge of the pines in the coffee store throuse where we were staying. On the north mountain slope where the young coffee was growing and where the trees were large and green I found these Peromyscus abundant in the shade and under large lava rocks,
