Pine Peaks Peromyscus -
The Pine Peaks Peromyscus
was by far the most common
species found at this locality.
Nos. 11196 and 11197 were caught under
some large lava rock boulders
in the pine grove where the dead
and dry pine needles covered the
ground in a heavy carpet. Many
specimens were taken in a

the edge of the pines in the coffee

slope where the young coffee was
growing and where the trees were
large and green I found these
Peromyscus abundant in the
shade and under large lava
rocks,
