About three miles to
the east of Pine Peaks is Vol.
Conchagua proper with its low
and dry vegetation and beyond
the numerous islands in the
bay of Fonseca, while off to
the north is a rugged terrain of
El Salvador and Honduras so
distinctive of Central American
countries.
