Rio San Miguel, 13°25'N. Dept, San Miguel Feb., 2, 1926 - Feb., 21, 1926 Mast. H Bat- Many Mastiff Bats were seen at Rio San Miguel 13°25'N, just a tick as they [illegible] chased insects propelled by sickle like wings. The speed of these bats as compared to others I have seen in flight is very fast. The two specimens taken 11149 ♀ (black) and 11150 ♀ (brown) were shot at the edge of a dense jungle over a melon patch. There were perhaps a dozen flying about at this place.
