Dec. 28, 1956 - Jan. 3, 1957 Gordon Prescribing - Error report Dr. ______ was told to stop prescribing certain drugs because of a patient's reaction. The hospital reported this to the state board of pharmacy, which then sent a letter to Dr. ______ asking him to stop prescribing those drugs. The letter stated that Dr. ______ had prescribed [illegible] for a patient who suffered from [illegible]. The patient developed [illegible], and was hospitalized. The hospital reported this to the state board of pharmacy, which then sent a letter to Dr. ______ asking him to stop prescribing those drugs. Dr. ______ replied that he had prescribed [illegible] only once, and that the patient's reaction was not related to the drug. He also stated that he had never seen anyone else have such a reaction to [illegible]. The state board of pharmacy then sent another letter to Dr. ______ asking him to stop prescribing [illegible] until further notice. Dr. ______ replied that he would comply with the request and would not prescribe [illegible] again. The case was closed by the state board of pharmacy, and Dr. ______ was not disciplined for the incident.
