January 10, 1927 - Reithrodonomys
No. 12328 and Peromyscus Nos. 12331,
12334, 12335, 12336, 12337, 12338, 12339, &
12340, were caught by G.D. Stirton
at an altitude of 4300 feet on the
volcano. For classification see his
notes. Peromyscus No. 12329 was
captured in a ravine at the edge
of the jungle, another No. 12330
was caught at the base of a
leaning tree in the dense
jungle. No Tylomys Nos. 12332, and
12333 were caught on horizontal
limbs in dense jungle at an
altitude of 1900 feet. Another
tylomys was taken in the young
coffee today, No. 12341. Peromyscus
Nos. 12342, and 12343 were caught
in a shady ravine at the edge
of the coffee. Another No. 12344
was caught in the young coffee
near by.
January 11, 1927 -
Peromyscus Nos. 12345 to 12352 inclusive,
were taken by G.D. Stirton at
4300 feet altitude. Tylomys No. 12353
was caught in the coffee field at
1900 feet by me. Arideus Nos.
12354 to 12358 inclusive were
shot by me where I found
them on the under side of a
huge flat lava rock in a
shady ravine.
