(30 May) a starling nest on top of it, which he cleared
out. Today I cleared out another starling
nest with 4 eggs. These guys are a real
problem this year. [Hole 1327]
9 June still stores here.
22 June Maggie found the new nest here, with
~15 do kids, in a new hole.
Banded & bled all 3, even though they're a 6-7
young yet. Hole tagged #4048, in the
main tree (high).

18 March 740. Did a (temporary) removal here to relive
the Hannon (1985) experiments. We ambushed
last night at the old hole (where a starling
was roosting - now deceased) and last year's
new hole. I was able to pull out the 2 helper
♀♀ (4125 & 4127) plus the NOBA ♂; This morning
when we returned we got 84259 in the
net. At that point we released the helper
♀♀ and kept the 2 ♂. Will we get a power
struggle or any serious indication of a replacement?
The 1st issue, of course, is: Who's the NOBA ♂?
(now 4312). The 2 possibilities are: another of the
missed kids from SOSp in 2005 who is now here to join
his brother (4259), or, a kid from a (missed) fall
nest here at 150D. He does have 2Y-type
