Ambushed this morning; got 2 birds in the low
hole (83934, a 42K bird and a NOBA 8") but
missed at least 1 bird roosting in the higher
hole. Will have to try again.
1 Feb.
Ambushed again, only getting 83934 in that
upper hole. Maybe they're roosting in the
other tree?

Birds have been down around 4 in holes
in the old sycamore snag toward 1500
regularly, so I went and checked The old
hole (tagged 5806): empty but nice.
25 Apr
1400. Checked hole 5806: still empty.
26 Apr
1700. ! The snag containing hole #5806
fell (since yesterday, when I climbed it!).
I checked the hole - Boone (dead) inside it.
4 May
Put the hole up (still tagged 5806) in their
other willow over by the Pump, fairly low
(~15' up on a side limb).
14 June
1800. Driving up the lane I heard old babies in a
cavity right at the road! Opened it (the hole
is about to fall apart) and found 2 kids, now
banded. Presumably this is Gator's nest? It's
across from 1500, so it's got to be Gator or a
different (new) group entirely. Sheesh!
8 Sept
600. Ambushed The willow hole (high one):
only 83934.
19 June
Took away the artificial hole (5806)
