2005 (Waltort) Koenig 2006 Melanerpes famicivorus Knoll H NHR (5 July) Meanwhile, in the nest, There are 3 kids ~7 do plus 1 unhatched eggs. 11 July 730. Banded & bled the 3 kids.(one pretty ruddy). 2006 3 May 1000. New hole! even higher up in locust closest to the labs, but facing the pump. 4 eggs, fresh or infertile (at least 2 are definitely infertile): ① 25.6 x 19.4 ② 25.9 x 19.1 ③ 25.9 x 19.6 (IF);④ 26.5 x 19.6 (IF) 9 May 1000. Noone's been in the hole the last 2-3 days, so I checked it: empty! √ now #249 This (new) hole is not tagged, but it's in The locust closest to the labs, high, about 2' higher and facing the opposite direction from hole 289. 26 May 930. Checked the new hole again, now tagged #249. 4 eggs again, this time looking better. Unfortunately, I had a hard time reaching them this time and crushed The one I took out to measure, so I did not take out the other 3. The one I did take out was 25.7 x 19.9 and ~5-6 days incubated. So should hatch ~1 June. 3 June 1230. 2 babies, ~4 do + 1 unhatched + undeveloped egg (25.5 x 20.1). Too bad I didn't mess it back on the 26th. I'm confident at least 3 eggs would have hatched had I not messed up. 18 June 1200. Banded the 2 kids here. Still stores: Yes-
