1500. Climbed up to band the kids only to find a
large, well-fed gopher snake in the hole. After
pulling him out There were still 2 (dead) kids
in The hole. Wing chords: 62+57 mm.
All cleared out. Plenty of stores left, at least.
26 August No stars left here.

24 April
1030. Bird in the deep hole (tagged? I forgot to
look). It was hard to reach the bottom, but
I'm pretty sure There were 7 eggs; unfortunately,
I broke one while fiddling around trying to count
Them. In any case, They were dirty but fairly
fresh. EHD ~3 May.
7 May
1430. Checked The nest: 4 kids, no eggs, ~3 do.
21 May
180. Banded The 4 kids. Plenty of stores.

28 April
1230. Checked hole #5811 (new cut): empty.
(Bird in There yesterday). Lots of stores here.
2 June
1145. Checked hole 5811 again: still empty; still
lots of stores.
20 June
1500. Bird(s) in hole 5811 again: still empty!

14 May
1400 Reopened the old hole up in The forest,
now tagged 5608: 4 incubated eggs.
Tree is totally overgrown with poison oak and
untagged, at least for now. EHD 5/18.

945. Checked nest: 2 kids, 6-7 do. Band ~12 June
