2007 Walt & Koenig Melanerpes formicivorus UAZ HNDUR 6 May 1015. Bird in old hole (now tagged #498) in lower VO: 10 eggs (1 a rent)! Heavens, a record! 6! [9/24/07] 7 June 1100. Banded & bled the 5 kids. There are at least a few acorns left. 26 Aug No stores remaining. 2008 24 April 930. Bird in hole (tagged #498). 6 eggs, fresh: ① 23.5 x 18.0 ② 23.7 x 18.2 ③ 23.8 x 17.0 ④ 24.1 x 18.3 ⑤ 22.9 x 17.6 ⑥ 23.5 x 18.4. EHD 3 May. 15 May 930. Went up to the hole: kids are making noises as expected. Nest is fine. 24 May 1100. Banded the 4 kids here. Stores: Yes. Tree #8698, Hole #498. 2009 19 May 1530. Bird in new hole in tree KS6 - could be UA2 or A1. Opened it: 9 eggs (1 a rent); just about to hatch. For now, guessing that it's UA2. 10 June 1030. Banded & bled the 7 kids! Stores: Yes (although not lots). 11 July Out of stores. 2010 11 May 1015. Bird in low hole in tree 120 (KS6) (county 889010): 8 fresh eggs! (over by A1)
