Cleaned out a starling nest w/ young babies from the artificial hole. 9 June Hole OK - starling did not rebuild here after last time. 2007 29 April 1100. Starling in the nest hole. 5 eggs. Cleared. No sign of ACWOs. 20 May A bit of a starling nest but otherwise empty. 2010 April 1600. Starling flushed out of the artificial hole. 4 eggs. Cleared the hole out. 18 June 1300. The PATs found the nest here - in a small dead valley oak in the middle of the 15º canyon (6597) - 5' high! Banded The 2 kids + set an ambusher. 19 June 815. Trying to ambush. At least 3 birds here: ?NOBA, 8" NOBA, 8" red/red-LBlue #4654! Possibly 2 NOBA 99 here, but can't be sure. 115. Quitting. Good feeding, but none's entering the hole. 8" is a kid from Stromberg 2!
