(18 March) features - worn remiges, sharp primaries - but
his head sure looked more adultish. I just can't
be sure. He looks more 24 than 34 but The 1st
hypothesis is a whole lot more appealing than the
2nd (Presumably if it is the 2nd, the Z 88 are unrelated.)
In any case, we released the 2 88 at about 0630
and now I'm here watching. Between 0800-0900
I'll keep track of all vocalizations. I've seen
birds here but basically it's all quiet. If an
intruder did come by, s/he left pretty quietly.
I should mention that ?4025, who we did not
catch, could have been in the hole with everyone
else. I couldn't reach everywhere which is why
we had to come back at dawn to get 84259 in the
bag,

1215. Came to do a hatching check, but it would appear
that they threw out or otherwise lost the 1st nest
and have laid a 2nd: 7 fresh eggs! (1) 25.8 x 20.2
(2) 23.8 x 19.6 (3) 25.1 x 20.0 (4) 25.3 x 19.2 (5) 24.9 x 20.1 (6) 25.9 x 20.4
(7) 25.3 x 19.2. EHT now ~ 30 May.
