46 to day. Also a seed eater was playing - at least so it appeared. I saw some fine birds today and a few old nests. I could flush no birds from any of the nests. There is a possibility that in mid day the birds don't sit much. Anyway the thorn trees in which some are located all prohibitive. Across the river Red-bell we heard a dove or Pigeon other than the small doves calling. Again this evening we heard the 'Poor Will.' July 12 Sun Today we hunted in the same locality as yesterday and found a great deal about the tree beneath the parquets were yesterday - I shot a parquet today myself. They were feeding high up and jumping around thru the leaves like warblers. They were continually calling. On the same tree we heard
