37 more of the country about Sonora. We are to be near a very active - since throwing volcano. We have remarked several times at the absence of music among the natives. I have heard no music of any sort except Pianolas in Colorado. Mr. Taylor says there is no music for the natives. This band is from Mexico. Of course there are many other races here - in fact quite a mixture - few Orientals tho. July 9 Got off on the train OK for Sonora. The train is much like the Denver and Narrow gauge. The country we pass through is very broken with many stations cut deep in the basaltic lava. There are many haciendas at which the train stops and native hut scattered along the entire railway.
