22. Islands. We saw the small ground Dove and heard a larger Dove that sounded like the Chinese ring dove. One bird puzzled us considerably. It was the size of the large Aisle, dark above and lighter below. With conspicuous white spots in the tail. The bill was heavy, crooked and slightly curved over. The tail was rather long. It may be a Boiard or one of the trogons. We heard a note much like a screech owl in the vicinity of the trogan but we don't know the origin of the note. There were many Iguanas running about in the leaves but no land crabs. A Hummer other than Lantus was seen but I can't give any accurate description. It was lighter colored and brownish. No Lantus Hummers were seen. We made some effort to get a gun permit but
