Nest. 5' 2up in a clump of
thorny, spiny sensitive
plant... The thicket was
7' high. The nest was usual
humd platform of sticks
rather frail (Eggs 3 days life).

Nest in the thick growth of
water hyacinth along the
edge all the lake. The nest
was built of foreign grass
well up to the matted
plant... and in plain sight
from above. The birds flushed
from the vicinity of the
nests. The birds seemed
almost colonial in this
region. Two other nests were
found - one with young
hatching - the other a
broken up nest of fresh eggs.
