16. resting on the water. I did not mention that the 20th we saw the first white rumped Petrel. Only the one was seen. As we went along near shore we saw Boobies Fregate. I believe there may be two kinds of Boobies, they seems to be a difference in adults altho this may some be 1st year birds. The sea is still very calm but there is little breeze. We have run into a storm any and it is raining this evening. June 28 Sun. Arrived in Manguillo during the night. Manguillo is very small and extremely poor and dirty. It is simply a port and Railway terminus for Coloma, Guadalajara and City. We went ashore after breakfast and walked thru the town out into a lagoon region. The hills upon which Manguillo are built are covered with brush and trees 30 high, but at this season quite dry
