Sept 10 Thu
Towards noon we came
within sight of Cape San Lucas
and at 3.P.M. rounded the
jagged point. We were much
closer in this trip and could
better see the point.
The country is very sandy
and desolate.
Around the point we
struck a good sea and
wind coming head on.
Many flocks of Northern
Red Phalarope were flying and
alighting about the kelp beds
near the point.
Sept 11 Fri.
The whole day spent in
sailing without sight of
land.
The Sea heaving and we
are not making our
customary progress so
we will reach Ensenada
next Sunday 9.00.
The weather is much
colder and fog prevails
throughout most of the
morning.
