No Petrels nor albatros have been seen yet. Pelicans and Frigates were about. At one time I heard a Grey Flycatcher on shore giving his Gingerbread note. The ship remained at anser, the whole day with doing any Shipping. Towards evening Summer came aboard as we expected, shortly after we pulled out for Salina Bay. Aug 29. Sat. The whole day was spent in sailing and very little of interest occurred. I saw the first Boo by, one of the black headed wapegats affairs Van Dover along shore I'm not sure.
