151 had a yolk sac nearly a centimeter across. The young one was very energetic and within 1/2 hour was running around my gamebag before his down had dried. I also shot a male gube with young on its back. The bird did not dive when shot and when I picked him up one of the young rigged out limb under the wing. Another young one was dead nearby. The female was with the male and some of the young seemed to be with her. After she flew the young dove and came up with just the top of their heads out. There were many shore birds along the shoreline and in the flooded grass but all seemed quite wild. Great and lesser yellowlegs and several species of small Sparrow. Dad got a solitary of the eastern race I believe. Still finally got me a Caracara in good black and white plumage. Fortunately he had not eaten recently so the
