the brush. We found what appeared to be a cactus woodpecker and shot but did not save it.
There were many post cactis about with woodpecker workings. We soon ran into the Xylopus summers which were everywhere thru the open depth. They sound like knights chattering when they give their notes. They appear very black all tho speckled them green even on the back.
Some of the females acted as if they might be nesting.
Dad soon scared up a couple of yellow headed parrots which flew off with much talking. They fly in a straight course with even wing beat. They are always making some sort of noise. We then found some Wrens and Warblers. The Wrens look something like Vigos and also like Carolinid. The Warblers look like some Dendroica and and have a typical warbler song. We also shot a Large Flycatcher like the Arizona Flycatcher but a small indeterminate very similar. Those were about the
