the tops. One young male was taken. This am were calling everywhere in the bush. I tried cooing them to me but with little apparent success, then tried sneaking on them while they were whirling. Finally I heard a bird up a little ridge to one side. Som he slid further down the ridg and later whirled still further down. I went down below and lay in wait. Som I heard a little rustle above me and saw the bird which I promptly collected blowing the head pretty well to pieces as a result. The timber was fairly dense but one could see along the ground for some distance. Not on I saw a flash of another bird climbing out of a little clow and up on a similar ridge. They always seem to make a little rustle as they move. I believe pretty likely localized by sitting or creeping about quietly, one could get several... We heard no kites - Curassows but the woods do
