and several Red Irogans. There are two kinds of Red Irogana, a second kind with longer different tail of which Van has one. Smit brought in a new species of Hawk with a pure white front and black upon parts except for a white collar. It appears something like a kite. Smit found it feeding in the canyon bottom where it had been eating wasp grubs. The whole crop and stomach was packed with this food. He also brought in a couple of Road Runners. I discovered today a bunch of Boat-billed Flycatcher. They are less active than Delfy and have quieter notes. They sound exactly like the large Gerards Flycatchers. Aug 16 Sun. In the timber by the canal I ran into a Bader Hawk in the same locality where Dad got a breeding male some 10 days ago. This bird was also a breeding male. No evidence of female or nest could be found in the immediate vicinity.
