and several Red Irogans. There

second kind with longer different
tail of which Van has one.
Smit brought in a new
species of Hawk with a pure
white front and black upon
parts except for a white
collar. It appears something
like a kite. Smit found it
feeding in the canyon bottom where
it had been eating wasp
grubs. The whole crop and
stomach was packed with
this food. He also brought in
a couple of Road Runners.
I discovered today a bunch
of Boat-billed Flycatcher. They
are less active than Delfy
and have quieter notes. They
sound exactly like the large
Gerards Flycatchers.
Aug 16 Sun.
In the timber by the canal I
ran into a Bader Hawk in
the same locality where Dad
got a breeding male some 10 days
ago. This bird was also a breeding
male. No evidence of female
or nest could be found in
the immediate vicinity.
