June 25 Thu. The ship remained in port all day loading but we did not go ashore. Few birds were seen about the bay. Black Vultures and Frigates at a distance - and Boobies around the ship. Yesterday when we visited the American council we saw some young parrots that had brought in from the back country. Evidently the breeding season is past for the parrots. In the evening we heard what a native said was young vultures in a near by Thailand. They sounded like crows hissing. This is however a likely place for vulture and I've saw many around them in the day time. Tomorrow we go to the Tree Marlas Isles. June 26 Fri It rained during the night and we also pulled out for the Islands. The same Petrels picked us up and followed us to the Islands. During the trip 3 young
