June 25 Thu. The ship remained in port all day loading but we did not go ashore. Few birds were seen about the bay. Black Vultures and Frigates at a distance - and Boobies around the ship. Yesterday when we visited the American council we saw some young parrots that had brought in from the back country. Evidently the breeding season is past for the parrots. In the evening we heard what a native said was young vultures in a near by Thailand. They sounded like crows hissing. This is however a likely place for vulture and I've saw many around them in the day time. Tomorrow we go to the Tree Marlas Isles.
