The town is on a peninsula and it would be some distance back to collecting grounds. But the red-tape of getting a shooting licence is to be considered. We visited the office of the American Council and saw the town. I had my first mangoes which went fine although they all still in my teeth. There are many cactus plants of the Pleistocene age about for the hills. We returned to the ship for the night as we seemed to have done the place. Every indication points to a spin storm this evening. Bird List. Petrel Brewster's Booby Short-tailed Gull Quail Flycatcher Rough-winged Swallow Bunting Tropic Bird Black Vulture Pelican English Sparrow Jubata Stork Guinea Dove The Bunting are just glimpsed, but it appeared dark I possibly blue with a light colored beak. The sky was a dark ship.
