109 We hear barn Owls flying over here at night and while I think of it we have located the [illegible] whistling long spurs and found it to be the Common flaviventris. Several Wood Thrushes birds and jay spotted little blue heron were seen along the canal as well as large Egrets. Aug 5. Wed Due to the fact of the the cars breaking we worked the neighboring shore today. One of the Spotted Sandpipers along the shore proved to be a male in spotted plumage. I also shot one of the little long billed out- wren like I got a Sincamate and again blew it all to pieces. I ran onto one of the large barred Woodpeckers. There were many Vireos, guy-eyed flycatcher which looked much like Vireos all thru the forest. Two species of Warblers and that
