Wilson
Stream
Inlet
In the core in S.E. 1,52,6,
on the west side of Wilson Stream
appear some fragiliferous gray-
white rhyolites somewhat mac-
erated. These are overlain by a
purplish to purple red porphyry
which is usually hard & glassy,
frequently softer & occasionally
contains scattered fragments then
resembling a tuff. A gray rhyo-
lite porphyrite seems to intrude this,
but possibly is brought up by
faulting.
The massive purple rhyo-
lites are overlain by bedded
purplish tuffs. These latter,
about 20 feet thick are exposed
at the outlet of Meadow Brook
and underly the fossiliferous sed-
iments which crop out farther
up Wilson Stream.
