A ridge of shales composed of bedded lentic fuse tuffs forms the crest of the hill and overlies a massive basit cliff which forms a contin- uous escarpment as far S.E. as the Ox Cove Road beyond. The strike is N. 55° E., dip 30° N.E. The fauna of shales at crest of ridge is large Cyrtodonta occasional Spiroorbis common Platyschisma occasional Pentagonal Crinoid stems " One seam contains in abundance Stenosisma pulchra Exclusively. The rock recalls 4.5.2 A. This fauna overlies 1.54.6 A. 1.54.2 A 1.54.2 A
