14 Exposure are very numerous to the west of the house 2 south of "Wooden Creek in northwest 1.51, 5. The rock is here a tuff, the fragments very frequently standing out in relief above the matrix. These larger fragments as also the largest X are a light gray colored glass possibly laze. The fragments are light gray v dark gray usually not over an inch. In one or two hands however occur large fragments on a foot thick of banded andesite W chalc ("base tuff"). 2 specimens are This latter is a hard light colored tuff of fine grain v small fragments matrix whitish, fragments small (less than 1/2 inch) gray. The rock is bedded, strike N 37 W dip 30 NE 151, 5. (1) (2)
