These shales may be more fossiliferous, but are too much shattered to show any other spec- imens. The more massive upper shales are quite fossiliferous, and contain several Beyrichia species and a low-spired Naticoid gastropod. These fossils are 6:24:7:(B), and the entire fauna includes (coll.1908) Beyrichia tuberculata.............common Beyrichia salteriana .............common Platyschisma helicites ............common Lingula minima...................common Grammysia sp.......................occasional Pteronitella sp....................rare Leiopteria sp......................occasional cf. Pterotheca sp..................rare (?)Leperditia sp..................rare
