82 Lyons Neck (2) The shore to the west of the island is formed by some basic tuffs while the East shore of the point ni 5.35.4 is composed of trap the main mass of the point's west side is composed of ceded and x semi-acid tuffs which also form the tiny island ni s.e. 5.34.6. The point to the s. of this island is composed of massive trap which extends with the 80 ft. hill at the N. end of the neck. The south side of the point shores (near west end) a couple of feet of contorted shale strike nearly east-west dip north. I In the little cove common to northern 5.34.9 - 5.44.7. occurs a series of exposures of acid tuffs & shales. The little point on the line shores on the east face 25 feet of massive acid tuffs overlying and grading down into 10 feet of blue shale. The upper part of the shale contains fragments & grades into the tuffs & this part contains few Dalmanella's & Sterosserina = (not coll). The shales proper form the tip of the little point sand are very highly fossiliferous containing 5.34.9 A' not coll.
